Learn Our Story
Nestled in Monrovia Canyon Park, Camp Trask is a gateway to outdoor adventure and character-building experiences for Scouts, families, and the greater community.
Since opening our gates in 1966, Camp Trask has welcomed generations of Scouts and families to explore the wild beauty of the San Gabriel Mountains. What began as a handful of campsites and a simple amphitheater has grown into a vibrant hub for outdoor skills, conservation, and community.
From weekend campouts to day programs and summer adventures, our mission remains the same: empower young people to lead, serve, and thrive. Guided by Scouting values and an enduring love for nature, we create experiences that build confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories.
Today, Trask blends classic traditions with modern programming—archery and range safety, ecology hikes, wilderness skills, STEM merit badge workshops, and service projects that care for our canyon home.
